Popcorn Popping: A Tulle Easter Look

Hello Tuesday! My name is Emily Smith from fashion blog Lovely Deseret! Blush pink may just be the best thing to ever happen to spring style! A blush pink tulle skirt has found its way into my closet and I’m so excited about this pastel Easter look!

When I was little my mom taught me a song that the little kids at my church sing about spring blossoms, it goes like this: “I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree!” So I grew up absolutely loving spring blossoms (and they do look a little bit like popcorn!) So for this Easter look I could think of nothing better than posing beneath the largest collection of spring blossoms that I could find at the Utah State Capitol. My amazing photographer Diana Putnam Photography of course did an amazing job, ah what would I do without her!

This blush pink tulle skirt is absolutely perfect! I found it at Downeast Basics (one of my all-time favorite shops!) From it’s flattering knee-length A-line shape to its six-layers of fluffy tulle and elastic waist, it’s stealing the show this spring as far as my Easter looks go! Because of the poofiness of the tulle skirt, I really wanted to wear it with a tighter top to accentuate my waist and create a pretty A-line shape. (Although I styled a tulle skirt with a button-up top a few moths ago and it was super cute too!) I found this darling geometric printed top and tassel bag at Downeast in the same shopping trip last week. I tried them all on together and couldn’t bear to split them up! I found these tan wedges at Charlotte Russe (Buy 2 get the second pair for $10, so yes, that means there’s a second pair of wedges hitting the blog soon!) This combination of different textures, prints, and fabrics makes this so much fun to both wear and see!
